Concept

It is a human resource center for the elderly that bridges the gap between the lives of the elderly and social life. For the architectural design, it was desirable to create a formative expression that symbolizes the work ethic of the elderly and their potential for social participation. The form of the cantilever beam on the second floor symbolically expresses the infinite extension of the building beyond the confines of the general order. In addition, in order to work vigorously even in old age, one must train one's body frame from a young age and develop a strong physical body. Such strength is expressed through the form of the exposed heavy steel frame structure. Through these expressions, we strove to make the overall impression of the building powerful, unconstrained, and stately, while maintaining its youthful acuteness.
