Concept

The facility consists of medical, welfare, and healthcare facilities such as a clinic, welfare center, day service center, home care support center, and community workshop, arranged around an open space in an atrium. The one-story structure creates a space for easy communication where visitors with various purposes, from parents and children to the elderly, can stay and interact with each other. Copper sheets with high thermal conductivity are used for the roof material to melt the remaining snow on the roof as quickly as possible in this region with heavy snowfall, and a passive solar system is used to utilize the heat received by the large roof surface. In the environment of various seasons and typhoons, the way of taking the 'haze' and the way of pulling the hangers were designed to express in detail the harmony between the materials and the natural environment.
