Atex Corporation is a company that has built its track record by proposing R&D and design of inverters and converters for in-vehicle electric vehicles (EVs) and hybrid vehicles (HVs) to major companies, and now mass-production molding. The purpose of this project is to expand business by building a new research facility and factory to take advantage of the recent shift in needs to EVs and HVs. The site is located in a scenic area in the center of an academic research city and requires harmony with the surrounding area. Using BIM, we visualized the approach, landscape, and layout of production equipment and fixture furniture, including the surrounding conditions, and communicated with the building owner as we planned the project. LED lighting was used for lighting in the three-story atrium production area to ensure sufficient illumination while reducing power consumption and CO2 emissions.
